Job summary

Shopko Optical in Alexandria, MN is seeking a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to join our team. Provide outstanding customer and patient service in selecting, ordering and dispensing eyewear, with on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities include assisting with frame selection, lens recommendations, and completing work orders for the optical lab. Experience is not required, and there is certification training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State license as required by law.
• Completion of Shopko OCE Certification modules.
• Office/optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions.
• Ability to analyze prescriptions and assist with fittings.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service.
• Analyze eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, ensuring proper fit with measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Perform frame repairs and adjustments and demonstrate contact lens care.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
