Job summary

Shopko Optical in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to provide exceptional patient and customer service in eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing.

On-the-job training is provided; no experience is necessary. The role includes pre-screening, processing medical billing information, maintaining frame inventory, and supporting the Optometrist with patient care and lens selections.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements completed.
• Office/optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions.
• Able to analyze prescriptions and perform fittings.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards
• Analyze patient eyewear needs
• Recommend lenses, coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments
• Show patients how to use contact lenses
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings
