Job summary

Shopko Optical in Duluth, MN is seeking a part-time Optical Sales Associate to provide outstanding customer service and assist with eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. On-the-job training provided, no experience required.

The role supports the optometrist and lab prep, with duties like pre-screenings, billing data entry, frame inventory, and patient education. Flexible hours include evenings and weekends; benefits include health coverage, holidays, vacation pay, and other team perks.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing is preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time.
• Able to analyze prescriptions, repairs and adjustments and lifestyle dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and ensure proper measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments.
