Job summary

Walman Optical, a division of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality and productivity, and coach high-performing teams. You will ensure accurate records and effective scheduling while collaborating with internal and external partners.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments.
• Ability to perform to high levels of competency in all aspects of lab manufacturing.
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to maintain an even workflow and motivate others.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manage interactions with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to achieve daily goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate productivity through team and individual metrics.
• Coach employees on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate benefits of our value proposition to accounts and teams.
• Ensure timely performance reviews and proper documentation of issues.
• Schedule vacation hours considering seasonality and workload.
• Maintain production and machine maintenance records.
• Collaborate with offsite vendors to troubleshoot equipment remotely.
• Represent policies and procedures to internal and external contacts.
• Foster motivation and teamwork; maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Provide training and direction for less experienced coworkers.
