Job summary

Walman Optical in Omaha, NE is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations, drive safety, quality, customer service, and people metrics. You will supervise shifts, manage scheduling, maintain production records, and coordinate with internal/external accounts and vendors while ensuring HIPAA and company policy

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments within the Company.
• Ability to perform to high levels of competency in all aspects of lab manufacturing.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, DVI software).
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to maintain an even workflow and a motivating work environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Manage interactions with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• The Production Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day activities to achieve safety, quality, production, customer service, and people metrics.
• Leads production teams to achieve daily goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate productivity through team and individual metrics.
• Coach employees on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate policies and procedures to the team.
• Schedule vacations with seasonality in mind.
• Maintain production and machine maintenance records.
