Job summary

HOYA Vision Care is seeking an Optical Production/Data Entry Clerk for an on-site role in our facility. The position focuses on accurate Rx entry, lens/frame preparation, and quality checks to ensure efficient lab processing.

Responsibilities include mounting lenses, aligning frames, verifying axis for multifocals, and maintaining data integrity throughout the workflow. Requires basic math, 10-key, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read prescriptions and follow billing policies.
• Accurate data entry with strong math skills.
• Good command of English reading and writing.
• Able to memorize large amounts of data.
• Typing speed 45 wpm by touch.

Responsibilities

• Lens mounting and frame fitting according to prescriptions and sizes.
• Frame alignment and adjustment to ensure proper symmetry and fit.
• Optical verification of axis and alignment for lenses and frames.
• Quality control and cosmetic inspection of lenses and frames.
• Secure assembly with tightly fastened screws and proper seating of lenses.
