Job summary

HOYA is seeking a Final Inspector to ensure finished eyewear meets HOYA and ANSI quality standards. You will follow SOPs to identify defects, communicate quality issues, and support production while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, ABO certification preferred, and prior optical laboratory experience. You must read prescriptions and work with inspection equipment, communicating effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; ABO certification preferred but not required.
• Previous optical laboratory experience required and knowledge of eyeglass manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to read optical prescriptions and use inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished eyewear products per SOP and ANSI standards.
• Verify prescription accuracy and overall product quality prior to shipment.
• Identify, document, and communicate quality issues to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Inspect jobs rejected by automated inspection equipment using manual lens meters and inspection tools.
• Route work to designated departments to maintain production flow.
