Job summary

Gooch & Housego in Fremont, CA, is seeking a Process Engineer focused on Documentation to establish and maintain manufacturing processes, documentation systems, and technical standards that enable consistent, high-quality production.

You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to ensure documents reflect current processes, support product transfers, and drive standardization, continuous improvement, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 3+ years in Process/Manufacturing Engineering or Technical Documentation in manufacturing.
• Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process specs).
• Strong document control, configuration management, and ECO processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control manufacturing documentation (work instructions, SOPs, process specs, visual aids).
• Manage document control processes, ECOs, and revisions with traceability.
• Ensure documentation reflects current production practices and approved changes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to define and optimize processes for safety, quality, efficiency.
• Support training and knowledge transfer by ensuring documentation is clear and user-friendly.
