Optimax Systems, Inc. is seeking an Optical Systems Manufacturing Process Writer in Ontario, NY. The role focuses on capturing complex manufacturing procedures and converting them into clear SOPs and work instructions for production operators.

You will work closely with engineers and seasoned operators to document key steps, create visual aids, and ensure documents meet regulatory and quality standards while maintaining version control within MES/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in technical writing or process documentation in manufacturing or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Capture, document, and translate manufacturing procedures into clear SOPs and WI for production operators.
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather process steps and tacit knowledge.
• Create graphic-supported procedures with photos, diagrams, and visuals.
• Review drafts with operators to ensure accuracy, usability, and compliance.
• Ensure documents are properly version-controlled in MES/ERP systems and meet ISO/GMP standards.
