Job summary

Heitmeier Eyecare is seeking an Optical Practice Manager to lead the optical sales and development team at the Marrero, LA location. You will work on the floor as a working optician, train staff, and coordinate with clinical leadership to ensure excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of optical experience as an Optician.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
• Demonstrated success in optical sales and revenue generation.
• Strong knowledge of optical products, lens technologies, frame styling, and insurance benefits.
• Experience training, coaching, and developing team members.
• Strong operational and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Optical Leadership & Sales Performance: lead optician and optical sales expert; educate patients on lens tech and eyewear solutions.
• Drive sales through consultative selling and patient education; exceed revenue and sales goals.
• Monitor performance metrics and coach staff to improve results.
• Lead by example with patient engagement and sales execution; assist with dispensing and repairs.
• Team Leadership & Development: supervise opticians, technicians, and coordinators; conduct training and coaching.
• Practice Operations: oversee daily operations, scheduling, inventory, and HIPAA/billing compliance.
• Patient Experience: resolve concerns, maintain high service levels, and collaborate with providers on eye care needs.
