National Vision, Inc. in Plano, TX, seeks a Production Supervisor for our optical manufacturing facility. The role supervises daily production functions, meets goals, hires and develops staff, and ensures a clean, safe work environment.

Night shifts are 3 days per week with 4 days off; responsibilities include workflow optimization, training, and cross-training across stations; requires 3–5 years relevant supervisory experience and MS Office proficiency.

Competenze

• Must demonstrate 3 to 5 years directly related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Beginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excel.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Mansioni

• Supervises activities in assigned department(s), ensuring work flow and proper utilization of associates.
• Ensures older jobs are processed in a timely manner.
• Resolves breakage issues to keep breakages low.
• Conducts root cause analysis to timely identify issues and minimize disruption to production levels.
• Process and review daily reports.
• Manages lens and frame inventory as required.
• Works to ensure other departments within the lab maintain a steady work flow and works with other department supervisors and production manager to resolve interdepartmental issues.
• Trains lead associates, oversees associate training and cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department.
• Performs administrative functions including Interviewing and selecting associates, reviewing associate performance, addressing issues, monitoring attendance, scheduling work and vacation time.
• Implements SOPs, department policies and procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures.
