Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of college or more preferred.
• 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience.
• 2 years general work experience, including 1 year optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent upon entry or within 12 months to sit ABO exam.
• ABO certification within 15 months.
• State licensure requirements may apply and must be met.

Responsibilities

• Lead department sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, and inventory oversight.
• Oversee eyewear fittings, measurements, and contact lens education.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect member confidentiality.
• Coach and develop the optical team, including hiring and training.
• Coordinate with labs, suppliers, and optometrists on orders and repairs.
