Eyemart Express is seeking an Optical Lab Technician in Lincoln, NE to cut, edge, and create prescription lenses, ensuring glasses are prepared accurately and on time. No prior experience required, as training is provided to the right candidate.

You will work with lab equipment, read prescriptions, maintain a clean work area, and help meet quality standards. Eyemart Express delivers great eyewear at low prices and values work-life balance for its team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in a lab or technical setting is preferred.
• Experience in the optical industry is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical manuals and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lab Work: Identify and work with basic optical laboratory equipment, tools, supplies, and materials. Adhere to hourly deadlines for finishing jobs.
• Prescription Management: Read and interpret prescription specs and enter into computer to ensure lenses are cut properly.
• Maintenance: Keep lab area and equipment clean, safe, and organized; perform scheduled equipment maintenance.
• Operational Excellence: Handle multiple tasks at several equipment stations and complete reporting forms promptly.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience working in a lab or technical setting

Experience working in the optical industry is preferred
