Job summary

Eyemart Express in Elkhart, IN is seeking a full-time Optical Lab Technician to cut, edge, and produce prescription lenses with accuracy and speed. You will work with basic optical lab equipment, read prescriptions, and maintain a clean, well-organized lab while meeting hourly deadlines.

Training is provided if needed. You will join a team at a national optical retailer, with opportunities for advancement and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a lab/technical setting preferred.
• Experience in optical industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and work with optical lab equipment, adhere to hourly deadlines for finishing jobs.
• Read and interpret prescription specifications, input into computer to ensure lenses are cut properly.
• Maintain the lab area and equipment safely and organized; perform scheduled maintenance.
• Handle multiple concurrent tasks across stations and complete reporting forms in a timely manner.
