Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics, and 1+ year of manufacturing experience, with strong data analysis and Excel/Access skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics; Chemical/Mechanical preferred.
• 1+ year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong data analysis and Excel/Access skills; proficient in queries and databases.
• Experience with experimental design.
• Strong fundamentals in process engineering.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide process understanding for chemical tech, pollution abatement, and facility systems in optical fiber manufacturing.
• Diagnose and resolve process issues through data analysis and collaboration with SMEs.
• Lead/Support cost reduction, process optimization, and new product introduction projects.
• Analyze key process metrics, identify trends, and implement response plans.
• Support startup of new equipment; develop/maintain engineering docs.
• Engage in plant safety initiatives and train staff on changes.
