Job summary

Corning Incorporated is offering a 10-week Summer 2027 internship in electrical engineering/controls. You will join an engineering team to design, test, analyze data, and develop improvements for optical fiber manufacturing and related technology.

Qualifications

• BS/MS Electrical Engineering/Controls in progress.
• Relevant experience a plus.
• Familiarity with engineering process fundamentals and scientific methodology.
• Data/statistical analysis skills.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of basic electronics and circuit design.
• Python, C/C++ or Visual Basic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own key project objectives within a team environment.
• Interface with engineering and operations groups to assess impact of changes.
• Review performance data and draw conclusions.
• Communicate findings to staff and management.
