Job summary

RTX's Electro-Optics (EO) Department is responsible for requirements decomposition, detailed design and production support of EO sensors/seeker subsystems used in missiles. The role includes optical alignment, EO modeling, and subsystem trade studies to enable robust hardware solutions.

You will design optical and opto-mechanical seeker systems, work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues, and contribute to failure analyses and corrective actions on production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related STEM major obtained prior to start.
• Experience with Electro-Optical subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Participate as mentee and Individual Contributor supporting program activities.
• Optical alignment/testing of optics assemblies.
• EO modeling, simulation, and analysis applications.
• Requirements development, requirement validation, and subsystem trade studies.
• Design of optical and opto-mechanical seeker systems and/or test fixtures for missiles.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with engineering and production teams.
• Support production-related activities in assembly and documentation of electro-optical subsystems.
• Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
