Job summary

The Photolithography/Thin Film Coating Manufacturing Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Optical Components Center in Orlando, FL, will support optical manufacturing processes with a focus on photolithography and thin film coatings. You will design coatings for lenses and windows and define equipment parameters for production.

You will characterize deposited coatings, analyze data, and provide technical guidance to operators while developing and managing work instructions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline from an accredited college.
Experience or coursework in Thin film, Coatings, Photolithography, and Optics.
Experience or training in at least one programming language for data analysis (Python, Matlab, Excel VBA).

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing processes of optics, emphasizing photolithography and/or thin film coatings.
Design and develop optical coatings to be deposited on lenses and windows.
Define equipment parameters and maintenance items for supporting the processes.
Perform characterization of coatings and analyze data.
Provide technical guidance to operators and develop and manage work instructions.
Investigate defective hardware and implement corrective actions to prevent defects.
Drive adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
