Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optical Consultant to support all aspects of patient care alongside our Optometrists. You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with exams, and help ensure patients receive exceptional care.

You will maintain accurate patient records in our EHR system and help coordinate referrals and scheduling. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication with patients and staff, and proficient PC skills.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient evaluations prior to exam.
• Interview patient to determine medical issues for Optometrist.
• Record and maintain patient files in EHR per HIPAA and policies.
• Schedule referrals and complete related paperwork.
• Respond to patient inquiries and assist with clerical duties.
• Assist with diagnostic testing and end-of-day duties.
