Qualifications

• BS with 3+ years (MS 1–2 years; PhD desired) in a relevant field.
• Experience with solid-state and gas pulsed lasers and pulse characterization.
• Ability to own, maintain, and troubleshoot complex laser systems.
• Experience budgeting, purchasing, installing laser systems and optics.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, operate, and maintain advanced pulsed laser systems.
• Enhance beam quality by sourcing and installing optical components.
• Collaborate with vendors to refine specifications and procure optics.
• Plan and oversee spectroscopic experiments and data analysis.
• Calibrate laser characterization devices and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers to support design and development.
