Cybersecurity Engineer - STP Support

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Overview

The Operations Security Analyst provides operations security support for the Space Systems Command (SSC) at Kirtland AFB, NM. The DoD Space Test Program (STP) handles mission design, spacecraft acquisition, integration, launch, and on-orbit operations for DoD experiments, prioritizing based on opportunity and funding.

Note: This is NOT a Cyber Security Engineering role.

Salary: $70k-$95k

Key Responsibilities

• Supports OPSEC for SSC, focusing on Critical Information Lists (CILs) and the OPSEC plan, considering changes in technology, threats, vulnerabilities, risks, operations, countermeasures, and capabilities.
• Assists with Kirtland AFB facility security access, manages visitors and personnel, and maintains the SSC OPSEC plan.
• Reviews the SSC Collateral Security Continuity Book and recommends updates.
• Creates checklists for collateral security processes.

Desired Experience

• Knowledge of RAM (Random Antiterrorism Measures), DISS (Defense Information System for Security), VAR (Visit Access Requests), NATO procedures, foreign travel protocols, processing 2875's and 2587's, and Velocity badging system.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or 6+ years of experience as a substitute).
• 3-10+ years in Operations Security, including developing, maintaining, and monitoring OPSEC programs, conducting content reviews, and developing OPSEC Critical Information Lists.
