Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking an Operations Project Engineer 2 to drive industrialization projects and manage critical readiness activities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure on-time launches and data integrity.

The role demands strong communication, risk management, and a track record of leading complex projects from design release to production launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead standard and moderately complex industrialization projects from design release through FAI, LRIP, production readiness, and product launch.
• Coordinate tooling, fixtures, programs, materials, documentation, training, inspection planning, capacity, and scheduling requirements for prototype builds and launch.
• Develop and manage integrated Operations project schedules, deliverables, risk logs, and readiness checklists; support NPD gate reviews.
• Lead Operations readiness reviews and participate in NPD-driven gate reviews; communicate inputs and document actions.
• Translate priority changes into revised schedules and work plans, coordinating across groups.
