Job summary

Parker Electromechanical is seeking an Operations Management Associate (OMA) for an 18-month Leadership Development Program. You will rotate through lean transformation, supply chain, and operations leadership within the Parker Hose Products Division.

The program includes special training in EHS, lean six-sigma, and coaching for high performance, preparing you to lead future operations initiatives while maintaining safety, quality, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• College Senior, major in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering with Business minor.
• Strong knowledge of lean concepts and demonstrated application.
• Experience from internships or co-ops; good verbal and written communication; project management preferred.
• Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Understand and improve processes; develop leadership skills and broad business acumen.
• Learn lean concepts by planning operations for optimal use of personnel, materials, machines, and facilities.
• Assist and/or lead Lean activities and Kaizen events across functions.
• Help design and improve manufacturing methods and control systems using new or existing equipment.
• Introduce changes to work methods, safety, and labor utilization.
• Maximize facility efficiency by establishing Kanban and inventory systems.
• Develop methods for controlling production costs and cost analysis.
• Participate in leadership training to build supervision and management capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
