Job summary

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES in Tallahassee is seeking an OPS Fiscal Assistant II to support the Bureau of Finance and Accounting. You will batch refunds, process vendor and payee requests, and assist with records management and mail distribution.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of bookkeeping or clerical experience; background screening and compliance with state policies apply. This is an OPS position with standard state benefits.

Responsibilities

• Batch refunds from all divisions within the department for processing by the General Audit Unit in the Bureau of Finance and Accounting after reviewing, verifying, and editing refund forms, if needed.
• Log batch numbers into Refund Tracking System.
• Add vendor and payee requests as needed. Monitor email box PCardDesk for vendor add requests.
• Assist with maintaining record storage rooms, filing, and boxing records as needed.
• Assist with sorting and distributing incoming mail.
• Assist the Accountant I on and as needed basis to ensure the warrants are ready to mail out each day or signed for by appropriate division personnel when picked up.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of bookkeeping or clerical experience.
