Job summary

The Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking an Opportunity Center Coordinator for the South Side location in Pittsburgh, PA. This role oversees daily operations, coordinates services, and leads a team to deliver career services, education, and training programs in a community-focused setting.

You will build partnerships with community organizations, manage schedules, and ensure a welcoming environment while upholding the organization's mission to empower individuals through education

Qualifications

• Experience in organizing services or events within impacted communities.
• Collaborating with community organizations and coordinating services across departments.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of human services delivery models, adult education, case management and community resources.
• Prior leadership and/or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel.
• Background checks and clearances required prior to first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth delivery of services, scheduling, and resources.
• Provide onsite customer service and foster a welcoming environment for attendees of classes, meetings, and community events at the Opportunity Center.
• Coordinate the Center's space for efficiency and sustainable practices, including safety and waste reduction.
• Oversee, direct, train and evaluate staff; hire vacancies and address conflicts as needed.
• Develop and manage schedules for classes, workshops, and events to meet participant needs.
• Identify and nurture partnerships with community organizations and volunteers to support participant needs.
