Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in GP, ER, or specialty.
• Interest and excitement for Veterinary Ophthalmology.
• Experience with practice management software (ezyVet).
• Adaptable and positive attitude with clients and co-workers.
• Ethical, independent, and responsible with strong client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients and support consultations and ophthalmic surgical sanitization.
• Assist Doctor and Technicians to ensure a seamless client and patient appointment experience.
• Educate clients about pet care and gather thorough patient histories for the medical team.
• Handle and restrain patients for exams and sample collection for ophthalmic testing.
• Submit patient samples to in-house and external laboratories.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and treatment areas.
