Eye Care for Animals in Culver City, CA, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, seeks a Veterinary Technician Practice Leader who blends clinical excellence with leadership to guide a busy hospital.

You'll mentor staff, optimize workflows, and partner with doctors to deliver exceptional patient care, including ophthalmology procedures and anesthesia management, while supporting a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on veterinary technician experience providing direct patient care.
• Minimum of 2 years in leadership or supervisory roles in a veterinary hospital.
• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred but experienced candidates without credentials are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and guidance to veterinary support staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members.
• Conduct coaching conversations, performance evaluations, and development planning.
• Foster a positive, inclusive hospital culture.
• Support scheduling, payroll, and staffing management.
• Partner with doctors and regional leadership to drive hospital success.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration across the team.
• Address employee concerns professionally and constructively.
• Deliver exceptional nursing care and patient advocacy.
• Assist veterinarians with ophthalmology procedures and anesthesia monitoring.
