Akron Children's seeks an Ophthalmology Technician to support clinical and research functions by preparing and performing assigned eye procedures on pediatric and adult patients under physician supervision. This full-time, on-site role requires travel to regional sites and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to ensure accurate testing and compassionate patient care.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; ophthalmic technician training or certification eligibility

Formación

• 1+ year of healthcare direct patient care experience required.
• Ophthalmology or pediatrics experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ophthalmic technician training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares equipment and patients for ophthalmic testing procedures.
• Assists physicians with performing various ophthalmic testing procedures.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
• Other duties as required.

Experience working with all levels

MS Office suite

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent

Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant program preferred

Joint Commission on Allied Personnel in Ophthalmology certification or eligible
