Qualifications

• 2 years in a medical practice, ophthalmology preferred.
• Experience with surgical scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical billing practices incl. managed care and government plans.
• Ability to coordinate pre- and post-operative schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient surgical and laser procedures for assigned physicians.
• Schedule required pre-operative testing and appointments.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations; guidance on billing.
• Serve as patient liaison through pre- and post-operative process.
• Maintain accurate documentation and EMR records.
• Provide general clinic and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
