Addison Group seeks an experienced Ophthalmology Surgery Coder for contract-to-hire opportunities in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves coding ophthalmology procedures, surgeries, and E/M services, with a focus on denials, rebills, and charge accuracy.

The position requires onsite training in Phoenix, AZ, followed by a hybrid schedule (4 days remote, 1 day onsite). Expect a Monday–Friday shift, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Arizona Time, and a pathway to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Experience coding ophthalmology procedures and E/M services.
• Proficient in CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and coding guidelines.
• AAPC CPC certification preferred; AHIMA acceptable.
• Onsite training in Phoenix, AZ required.

Responsibilities

• Code ophthalmology surgeries and ASC procedures.
• Handle professional and facility-based charges.
• Review denials, rebills, and coding edits.
• Maintain ~55 charts per day with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with coding leadership for compliance.
