Addison Group is seeking an experienced Professional Fee Coder specializing in ophthalmology for a contract-to-hire role in Phoenix, Arizona. You will code ophthalmology surgeries and related procedures in ASC and clinic settings, assign CPT, E/M, and J-codes, and manage denials.

Candidates should reside in Arizona and be proficient with NextGen or similar systems (RVMed), and be comfortable preparing accurate charts at a rate of about 55 charts per day with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience coding ophthalmology surgeries and procedures in ASC and clinic.
• AZ residency or AZ-based candidate preferred.
• Proficiency with CPT, E/M, and J-codes; revenue cycle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Code ophthalmology surgeries and procedures in ASC and clinic settings.
• Assign CPT, E/M, and J-codes for ophthalmology, anesthesia, and pain management services.
• Handle clinic denials, rebills, and medication codes.
• Work with both provider-based and facility-based charges.
• Maintain productivity of 55 charts/day with 95% accuracy.
• Utilize systems including NextGen (preferred) and RVMed; codify through AAPC.
