Job summary

Acelpa Health seeks an Ophthalmology Program Director to lead RetinaCare Complete strategy, development, and commercialization. This remote/field-based role partners with providers, payers, and manufacturers to drive access and performance.

You will own the roadmap, engage with ophthalmology stakeholders, and coordinate across operations, marketing, and compliance to achieve program growth and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy, life sciences, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in ophthalmology, retina, specialty pharmacy, market access, or provider commercialization.
• Ability to communicate credibly with clinical, operational, payer, and manufacturers.
• Experience developing strategic plans, launch roadmaps, cross-functional workstreams, and measurable objectives.
• Strong understanding of reimbursement workflows, prior authorization, benefits investigation, and provider operations.
• Ability to convert market insight into education, sales enablement, and workflow requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own RetinaCare Complete roadmap, launch priorities, and expansion plan for California, Arizona, and Hawaii.
• Serve as ophthalmology SME translating market-access insights into programs.
• Lead engagement with ophthalmologists, retina practices, and payers.
• Develop provider value proposition, education framework, and talk tracks with compliance and marketing.
• Support calls, pilot design, onboarding, and escalations requiring ophthalmology expertise.
• Partner with managed care to define payer value stories and utilization visibility.
• Advance manufacturer relationships for access, data reporting, and site-of-care strategy.
• Coordinate with operations for intake, prior authorization, and benefits verification handoffs.
• Guide prioritization across retina opportunities while maintaining scope.
• Own KPIs, quarterly reviews, pilots, and margin visibility.
