Job summary

Ascend Vision Partners in Orlando, FL is hiring a certified or non-certified Surgical Technician for a full-time role at Lakeside Surgery Center. You will support ophthalmology procedures by preparing rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting surgeons and nurses, ensuring a sterile environment and safe patient care.

You will participate in patient preparation, instrument handling, and post-procedure duties, contributing to a patient-centered, high-quality ambulatory surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of operating room experience preferred.
• Certification as a surgical technician or technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgery and ensure a sterile environment.
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning for procedures.
• Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Assist in inventory management and restock the room after procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and supplies.
• Monitor operating room conditions and support direct patient care to ensure safety.
