Ascend Vision is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician (Certified or Non-Certified) to support providers by preparing patients, taking medical history, performing basic vision screening, and assisting during minor procedures. The role emphasizes accurate EMR documentation and exam-room readiness.

Responsibilities include dilating pupils, sub‑specialty tests (refraction, visual fields, biometry), maintaining ophthalmic instruments, and counseling patients on drops and postop care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• COT certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for ophthalmology examination and testing.
• Record medical history and documentation in EMR.
• Perform basic and routine vision screening examinations.
• Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.
• Dilate pupils and perform sub-specialty tests as directed.
