Job summary

Surgery Partners in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the ophthalmology OR team. You will work under surgeons and nurses to prepare instrumentation, maintain sterile fields, and assist with patient positioning and transfers.

Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited surgical technologist program, BLS certification, and 1–2 years of OR experience. This full-time role requires standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Prefer 1-2 years clinical OR experience; 0-2 accepted.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instrumentation for procedures.
• Set up sterile field including instruments, drapes, and solutions.
• Assist with prepping patient and equipment for procedures.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants during operations.
• Maintain counts of sponges, needles, and supplies.
• Clean and restock the OR after procedures.
• Support with inventory management and patient transfers as needed.
• Follow facility regulations and safety protocols.
