Job summary

The Medical Scribe position at University Medical Associates supports physicians by documenting patient visits in real time and preparing charts ahead of clinic sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent typing, and both verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to document patient care clearly in an EMR under provider direction.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the physician into the exam room and document in the EMR all aspects of patient care.
• Pre-chart for upcoming patients for the week in clinic during non-clinical time.
• Document physical examination findings, procedures, imaging and lab results as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
