Job summary

Beale Personnel, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of Clinical Operations to lead a 6-office ophthalmology practice. You will oversee clinical service delivery for 18 physicians and a 30-person clinical staff, ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care across all sites.

The ideal candidate has hands-on operational leadership in ophthalmology, has managed multi-site operations, and can drive standardization, staffing, and growth initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in ophthalmology practice operations or related leadership.
• Experience managing a multi-site practice (3+ locations).
• Directly or indirectly supervising 20+ employees.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel regularly between office locations.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations across all 6 office locations, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinic flow.
• Partner with physicians to align clinical workflows with provider needs and patient volume.
• Standardize clinical protocols, staffing models, and best practices across all sites.
• Directly manage and mentor 3 Clinical Managers who oversee site staff.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training to build a scalable clinical team.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the practice.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Administration on budgeting and staffing goals.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and executive leadership.
