Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and maintain professionalism.
• Good communication skills with diverse patient base.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Call patients to exam room and perform vision and diagnostic tests as needed.
• Reconcile medications and update patient histories; take vital signs when needed.
• Prepare for procedures and assist doctors during visits.
• Assist patients with glasses, dispensing, adjustments, and repairs.
• Schedule surgeries and manage online scheduling as needed.
• Ensure timely responses to messages and physician follow-ups.
• Process insurance forms and optical shop statements.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and disinfect treatment rooms daily.
• Properly handle instruments and adhere to OSHA standards.
• Maintain patient records in the EHR, including charting vital signs and communications.
