Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; COA or COT training preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of Ophthalmic Assistant experience is preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS through an AHA‑accredited program is required.
• Proficiency using a computer and a lensometer.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and document pertinent medical history.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests and assist physicians with procedures.
• Administer eye drops and manage contact lenses as directed.
• Triages patients and maintain smooth clinic flow throughout the day.
• Travel between offices to staff multiple clinics as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and provide patient education.
• Ensure proper handling of examinations and documentation.
