Qualifications

• Current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Graduation from an accredited LPN program or equivalent with pharmacology coursework.
• Experience in a physician’s office, urgent care or emergency room preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses if working in Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center only.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for clinical questions/refill requests/Prior Authorizations.
• Process calls/walk-ins related to prescriptions, patient questions, and authorizations.
• Communicate via e-mail per paper-light initiative; route documents for physician signature.
• Handle faxed requests; manage prior authorizations and other clinical tasks.
• Complete FMLA/Disability paperwork with physician signature as needed.
• Ensure paperwork is scanned into OnBase and documented in the EMR.
• Assist in clinic triage and patient flow; support checkout and charge entry.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
