Job summary

Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Clinical Oncology/Hematology Coordinator to coordinate a collaborative, patient-centered oncology/hematology care experience. You will work with referring physicians, nursing leadership, and infusion staff to ensure seamless care across the continuum.

The role requires an RN license with an associate degree, and offers opportunities to contribute to care protocols, education, and performance improvement initiatives within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing (RN) required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• One year of clinical nursing experience required; three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate interventions with the care team and revise the plan of care.
• Schedule new oncology/hematology patients.
• Serve as the main contact for referring physicians and patients.
• Coordinate scheduling, prescriptions, test results communications, and other care needs.
• Obtain pre-certification/pre-authorization for required services and medications.
• Educate patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Assist in developing and implementing oncology/hematology policies and procedures.
• Support data reporting and participation in tumor board/outcomes monitoring.
• Assist in operational troubleshooting and process improvements.
