EyeSouth Partners via Houston Retina Associates seeks a Call Center Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, referring offices, and pharmacies. You will answer inquiries, schedule appointments, verify information, and document interactions with HIPAA-compliant care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Prior call center, customer service or healthcare setting experience is advantageous.
• ophthalmology experience is a plus; strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients and address inquiries and requests courteously.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments across ophthalmology sub-specialties.
• Verify patient information and collect necessary medical information for records.
• Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about healthcare services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
• Triaging questions and coordinating with referring doctors and internal teams.
• Handle patient complaints professionally and aim for satisfaction.
• Document call interactions and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
