Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Ophthalmology to join a growing, academic ophthalmology team in Worcester, MA. The APP supports outpatient care, triage, and diagnostics under ophthalmology physicians.

The role emphasizes patient-centered eye care, use of Epic EMR, and opportunities to develop specialized ophthalmology skills and procedural competencies in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited PA or NP program.
• Massachusetts Medical License with NCCPA, DEA and CSR.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and obtain comprehensive medical histories.
• Perform ophthalmic examinations and assessments under established protocols.
• Assist with IV fluorescein angiography (IVFA) and injections.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support outpatient operations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate.
