Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences team. The role collaborates with ophthalmologists and clinical staff to deliver high-quality eye care in a fast-paced academic health system.

You will conduct patient evaluations, perform ophthalmic exams, IV fluorescein angiography, and assist with medications and testing, with Epic EMR integration and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Massachusetts Medical License with national certification (NCCPA), DEA and CSRP.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations and obtain comprehensive medical histories.
  • Perform ophthalmic examinations and assessments under established protocols.
  • Perform intravenous fluorescein angiography (IVFA) and contrast dye administration.
  • Assist with medication refills and patient triage.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate; collaborate with physicians and teams.
