Job summary

MRG Exams is seeking a board-certified Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) to join as an Independent Medical Evaluator in Ohio. The role focuses on impartial evaluations and narrative reports to support claim adjudication while offering a balanced lifestyle.

You will perform impairment ratings per AMA Guidelines, document findings within timelines, and collaborate with teams. Travel as needed and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Board-certified ophthalmologist with an active license in Ohio or a neighboring state.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience with IME/impairment rating exams is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct impartial comprehensive medical evaluations in accordance with Ohio BWC guidelines.
• Perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
• Document findings and provide clear, concise reports within established timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the highest level of service to our clients.
• Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
