Job summary

MRG Exams seeks a board-certified Ophthalmologist to join as an Independent Medical Evaluator (IME). The role involves conducting impartial medical evaluations and reporting outcomes to support claim adjudication and case management.

Ideal candidates will hold an MD or DO, maintain an unrestricted license (Ohio or neighboring state), and be willing to travel. Prior IME/impairment rating exposure is preferred but not required.

Job Description:

As an IME Provider, you will conduct impartial comprehensive medical evaluations, assess permanent partial impairment, and author objective narrative reports to support claim adjudication and case management. While some specialized onboarding is provided, relevant clinical experience and a strong willingness to learn are essential.

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments in accordance with Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations.
• Perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings accurately and objectively using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
