Job summary

MRG Exams in Ohio seeks a board-certified Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) to join as an Independent Medical Evaluator. This role focuses on impartial evaluations, PPIR ratings, and narrative reports to support claim adjudication and case management.

Travel to various locations in Ohio may be required. We provide onboarding and back-end support to help you balance clinical work with IME responsibilities and maintain professional autonomy.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Ophthalmologist (MD/DO) required.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio or a state contiguous to Ohio.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Prior IME/impairment rating experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct impartial medical evaluations and assess permanent partial impairment per Ohio BWC guidelines.
• Perform PPIR ratings accurately using AMA Guidelines.
• Document findings and prepare clear, objective narrative reports within deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality client service.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
