Job summary

BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic in Northwest Arkansas is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to serve as Clinical Trainer. The role combines onboarding leadership with ongoing clinical mentoring for new technicians during their first year, ensuring competency validation and continuous professional development under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Operations.

The trainer will split duties about 50% in-clinic support and 50% training duties, expanding as the practice grows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of ophthalmic technician experience.
• COA, COT, or COMT certification preferred.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding for all new ophthalmic technicians.
• Provide ongoing coaching and competency validation for first-year technicians.
• Develop and maintain standardized clinical education and training materials.
• Coordinate with physicians and leadership to standardize workflows and implement new equipment.
