Job summary

Drs. Campbell, Cunningham, Taylor, and Haun is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor & Clinical Trainer to lead and develop our ophthalmology clinical teams across multiple locations in Tennessee.

The role combines clinical leadership, staff training, and operational support to ensure consistently high-quality patient care across all sites. The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of ophthalmology clinical experience, prior supervisory experience, and COA/COT/COMT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years ophthalmology clinical experience
  • Prior supervisory or management experience
  • COA/COT/COMT certifications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic testing and equipment
  • Experience training or mentoring clinical staff
  • Experience in a multi-provider or multi-location practice preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and ophthalmic technology

Responsibilities

  • Train and onboard new ophthalmic technicians, scribes, and clinical staff
  • Provide ongoing training and skill development for staff at all experience levels
  • Develop and maintain training materials, checklists, and competency assessments
  • Train staff on ophthalmic equipment, diagnostic testing, and clinical workflows
  • Assist with implementation of new procedures, technologies, and EMR updates
  • Supervise and support clinical staff across multiple clinic locations
  • Reinforce standardized clinical workflows and best practices
  • Identify training gaps and provide coaching and performance support
  • Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for staff
  • Partner with physicians and management to improve clinic efficiency and patient experience
  • Assist with quality assurance initiatives and process improvement
  • Support clinic operations and assist on the clinic floor when needed
  • Travel between clinic locations as needed

Overview:
We are a multi-location ophthalmology practice seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor & Clinical Trainer to support and develop our clinical teams. This role combines clinical leadership, staff training, and operational support to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across all locations.

The ideal candidate has strong ophthalmic clinical experience, prior management or supervisory experience, and a passion for mentoring and developing clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Training & Development

  • Train and onboard new ophthalmic technicians, scribes, and clinical staff
  • Provide ongoing training and skill development for staff at all experience levels
  • Develop and maintain training materials, checklists, and competency assessments
  • Train staff on ophthalmic equipment, diagnostic testing, and clinical workflows
