Job summary

BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic in Northwest Arkansas is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician. We offer training and no prior experience required; you will support doctors during exams, perform preliminary eye tests, and help educate patients.

This full-time, in-person role includes patient care, triage, and administrative tasks, with a team-focused environment and opportunities to grow in eye-care technology.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office practices and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medications and ocular disease processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment.
• Perform preliminary tests, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and pupil reactions. Includes visual fields, OCT, IOM, biometry, pachymetry, refraction, and more.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
• Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks to assist the provider.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.

Job Details

Full time hours (35-40 hours per week)

Work Location: In person

Approximate work days/hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

A criminal check and drug test will be conducted after a conditional job offer
